location: Milan
course dates: September 2025
application deadline: 09/22/2025
The Master Course in Product Design for Human-Robot Interaction trains professionals to design intelligent robotic products that improve the relationship between humans and machines. The programme explores cognitive ergonomics, design semiotics, and interaction aesthetics, focusing on empathy, usability, and emotional design. Students learn to develop robotic concepts from brief to prototype, combining creative thinking with technical accuracy and advanced CAD and rendering tools.
The course includes collaborative projects with companies, guided by mentors acting as art directors, and hands-on prototyping in the school’s laboratories.
Part of the programme takes place at Scuola di Robotica in Genoa, offering direct exposure to applied robotics and interdisciplinary research.
In the final phase, students develop an individual thesis project that integrates innovation, functionality, and design culture. This Master prepares a new generation of designers to lead innovation in the fast-growing field of human-robot interaction, where design plays a key role in shaping future experiences.
